Product Showcase ~ Unbranded Dies

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

In my last Product Showcase, I featured the Cuttlebug die cutting and embossing machine (perhaps my favorite crafting tool of all time!).  So, of course you're gonna need dies to do die cutting with your Cuttlebug.  If you haven't bought a Cuttlebug yet, check out my Product Showcase ~ Cuttlebug blog post for links to everything you'll need.

As for dies, I mostly use unbranded dies.  I just got my Cuttlebug as a gift less than a year ago, so I'm still new to it.  I was so excited to get started die cutting and I was starting from scratch with no dies at all yet.  I decided to try the inexpensive unbranded dies on eBay and I've found that they cut beautifully!  I have purchased many, many sets of the unbranded dies along with only a couple of brand name dies.  Honestly, I've found no difference whatsoever in quality.  Why pay $15-$20 or more per set for brand name when I can get unbranded for $1, $2, $3, $4...?  I can buy several unbranded sets for the price of one brand name set.  I almost always buy my unbranded dies from eBay, usually Chinese sellers.  They do take about 4 to 6 weeks to arrive but I order in advance and I don't really mind the wait.  The links you find in the description of my YouTube videos will usually be eBay links to the same seller and product that I actually purchased.  If you don't mind the wait, like me, please check out the links in my video descriptions.

However, I know some of you don't like the long wait.  If you follow me on Facebook, you probably already know that I now have an Amazon Store where I am able to compile all the products that I love into my own custom page on Amazon.  So, even though I do purchase most of my dies through eBay, I have searched Amazon to find the exact die sets that I have and I've added them to my Amazon Store into an Idea List titled "Dies", for those of you who want to get them a little quicker.  Some may still take a couple weeks to arrive, but it's usually quicker than eBay and still very inexpensive.

Some of you may prefer Amazon because you have Amazon Prime, or maybe you simply trust or are more familiar shopping with Amazon.  If so, please be sure to check out my store at www.amazon.com/shop/craftie.  I am still building it up but have already added many of the unbranded die sets that I have, along with lots of my favortie crafting supplies which I do purchase from Amazon.  Check back often because I will be adding more!

Thanks everyone.  Happy shopping and happy crafting!

  1. Tfs. I don't mind waiting either. Also, if you read the packaging on the name brand dies, not all but most come from China.
