Christmas Wreath Party Plates

 

Need a last minute idea for your Christmas party decor?? I got you! These are so festive and adorable but super quick and easy to put together, so you can spend your time visiting with your guests instead of stressing over an elaborate table setting. Do you remember my green striped plates from my Watermelon Party Plates back in the Summer? I still had some left... In the Summer, my brain automatically saw a watermelon rind when I spotted them in the store. Now, in a Christmas mindset, my brain sees a Christmas wreath. So that's what I'm making! Don't be afraid to pull from your stash. Maybe you don't need to run out to the store for new "Christmas plates". I love to reuse and reimagine the things that I already have on hand. I think they make adorable Christmas Wreath Party Plates. You can probably find some other plates with a green design around the border that can also become a wreath or use the solid color option which I also show you in this video.

Reindeer Bead Charms

 

My favorite thing about my bead charms is that they are open to interpretation. It's all just a play on shapes and colors, just like my punch art projects. Mix up the shapes and colors to make yours your own. In this video, I show you two options for beads you could use to create a reindeer bead charm for Christmas. You could use any brown(ish) bead in a round, oval, teardrop, or other shape of your choice for the reindeer head. Also, change it up with different red beads in different finishes (crystal, pearl, AB...) for the nose in different shapes such as rondelle, round, bicone, etc.. You could even change up the antlers.. I used leafy bead caps but you could use branch connector beads or... well, just get creative. Yarn Wrapped Mini Pumpkin

 

My yarn wrapped mini pumpkin is super quick and easy to pull together as last minute decor for Thanksgiving/Fall.  These would also be a fun craft to do with your holiday guests.  I find myself doing small crafts lately because I've had my mind on tiered tray decor.. even though I don't have a tiered tray.  These would be adorable on a tiered tray!  Gotta get one!

Standing Easel Pumpkin ~ Place Card or Tiered Tray Decor

 

This standing easel pumpkin is like a 3-D version of punch art, created using simple oval shapes.  I began my "Punch Art" journey because I love the simplicity of creating new and interesting images using only basic shapes.  Here, I've ventured beyond paper punches by creating with wood cutouts.  In the future, I plan to use an even wider variety of crafting media to create punch art.... or... at this point I guess I should be calling it "Shape Art".🤷  

I love this pumpkin for tiered tray decor or as place cards (with the addition of names).  And, just like with punch art, you can create sooo many different decor items beyond the pumpkin.  The coolest part is the "kickstand":  made from something you all probably have on hand in great numbers!  Hit PLAY to see how I made it.:

HUGE Dollar Tree Haul

Watermelon Party Plates

 

Last minute 4th of July party decor idea.  Red, White, and Blue decor sold out??  No problem!  You can create these watermelon party plates with stripey plates like I found at my local Big Lots or just plain green and red that you can find anywhere at any time of year.  Sprinkle a few raisins for the "watermelon seeds" look and that's all there is too it.  Too easy!!

Cow Party Plate ~ Barnyard Critter Plates ~ Party Decor

Piggy Place Setting ~ Barnyard Critter Plates ~ Party Decor

 

This pink piggy was my first idea for cute critter party plates which sparked many more ideas.  My imagination ran wild with this one and I have so many ideas from farm animals to buggy critters and more.  Look for them all in my upcoming series of videos for more critter plates.  My place settings use elements you would already be purchasing for party decor such as plates, napkins, utensils, cups, straws, party favors, and sweet treats.  I just arrange them in a way that helps create your fun theme.  I love to create fun and whimsical party decor using inexpensive disposables to make clean up quick and easy for busy moms.  No need to commit to washing dishes all night after the event; Spend more time enjoying the occasion and your guests.
