Christmas Rose Ball Ornament

A snowy, red Christmas Rose is the perfect way to fill an empty ball ornament for a very full look. A large rose, as big as the ornament itself, gives a wonderful "ship in a bottle" effect for a more interesting look.  We've all seen so many of these ornaments from the craft department filled with beads, faux snow, and other small filler, I thought it would be interesting to fill it with one large item that is seemingly too large to fit.  This makes for more visual interest.  It just takes a little bit of patience...

Glowing Snowmen

Glowing snowman decorations are a great way to a a festive touch to your home decor at Christmas time.  I made these from glass globes, Christmas lights and men's socks! :-)  I used black aquarium gravel for the "coal" and a variety of other detail elements.  You can really add the extra touches in your own way.  You don't have to use the items that I did.  Get Craftie and see if you can come up with new ideas for the hats, scarves, and other finishing touches.  You're limited only by your imagination.  In my YouTube video, I'll show you how I made this adorable snow family.  It's easier than you might think.

Grinch Kabobs

Grinch-Kabobs are a cute way to add an extra festive touch to regular fruit skewers at Christmas time.  You can also omit the grapes and serve as simple Santa hats.

Snowman Table Setting

This whimsical snowman is the perfect table setting at Christmas time, for children and adults alike.  Very fun with foam or paper plates and paper napkins. But this can become very elegant when done with fine china and fancy cloth napkins.  Snowmen are one of my favorite Winter decorating elements!  I would like to do the fancier version of this later on if I can find the right China.

Tin Can Snowman Hat

You're gonna love these tin can snowman hat decorations for Christmas! You can make a full-size decoration or a miniature version as a Christmas tree ornament. Both are simply gorgeous!  For the larger hat I used a coffee can and a plastic dinner plate.  For the tree ornament I used a tomato paste can (cut shorter) and a canning jar lid.  You could do these in so many different sizes.  Just get Craftie and see what size cans you can find and something of appropriate size for a brim.  The options are endless.  Use them or anything from tree ornaments to table decorations to hat decorations for your actual snowman.
