After posting my Product Review ~ Arteza Watercolor Real Brush Pens video, I received a comment asking about refilling the water brushes.  This brought it to my attention that I had placed all the focus on the Real Brush Pens and hadn't really focused enough on the water brushes.  So, I decided to make another video for you guys taking a closer look at those.  The video link is below as well as links to the Arteza products I've used thus far.

Product Review ~ Arteza Watercolor Real Brush Pens

*As an Arteza affiliate partner, I earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.*

Arteza asked me to review some of their products and I was more than happy to comply.  These were a pleasure to work with.  I love the versatility of the Real Brush Pens.  You can use them with water as watercolor or use them without water as brush tip markers.  This way you can get any level of color intensity that you desire.  Be sure to check out my review video below.

Mundane Morning ~ New Products

Good Mundane Morning Crafties!  It's a cool but beautiful Spring morning here in the hundred acre wood.  I'm so glad to see the sun shining bright!  I hope the snow is gone for the year.  I'm so anxious to get outside and do some yardwork, plant some tomatoes and flowers, and get my hummingbird feeders up.  I've had enough of Winter!  Just when I had thought it was over, it came sneaking back in.  Hopefully that was its last hoo-rah. Let's get on with Spring!

I hope you all have a wonderful Holy Week and Easter!  I've had a lot of fun with all the Easter crafts.  Sadly, there were several I didn't get time for (again).  I always seem to plan more than time will allow. 😐  Oh well, maybe we'll do those for next Easter.

This week, or maybe next, I'll have a couple of product review videos for you guys.  One is from a company that contacted me and offered to send me their products to review.  I'm really excited about that!  I've received the products and have already been experimenting with them.  I can't wait to share it with you all.  The other is just a product that I've been wanting to try for a long time and was finally able to purchase for myself.  They are actually scheduled to be delivered TODAY!!  I can't wait!!

The truth is, I have more new toys than I know what to do with!  With my own purchases, company gifts, gifts from friends, and Christmas gifts that I still haven't used... I could craft 'till this time next year!  I'm so excited to use these things.  I just wish there were more hours in a day.

So, I think I'm gonna sign off, check my mailbox, and experiment with some new products today.  Be on the lookout for those review videos!  I can't wait to share my findings.  Thanks for spending another beautiful morning with me.  Until next time friends, stay Craftie! 😉

I've been playing around some more with my Cuttlebug and I've discovered the cool effects you get by embossing vellum and acetate so I wanted to share it with all of you.  Some of you have probably already seen this but it's new to me and I thought there may be some more of you out there that are new to the Cuttlebug game like I am.  I just love these effects.

Lollipop Bunnies

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

These little loop-eared bunnies are a sweet addition to an Easter gift basket, to hand out to Sunday School groups at church, or place one at each table setting for Easter brunch.  The looped handles on Saf-T-Pops lollipops make the cutest bunny ears.  Then all you will need to do is add a ribbon bow and a pom pom for the bunny's fluffy cotton tail.  They're so cute and so much fun for Easter.  The kids will love these!

It’s not long until Easter!  I've got some more Easter crafts that I hope to get out there for you guys in time.  I have a sweet Easter treat coming up.... nothing new, but absolutely adorable!!  I've been trying for a long time to get what I needed for this treat and I finally got it!  I placed my order several times and they kept sending the wrong thing.  They finally got it right and my order has arrived!  I'm so excited about this craft!!  Again, it's nothing new..  But it is just so stinkin' cute that I can't even stand it! 😍

Meanwhile, I'm planning LOTS more Spring themed crafts for Mother's Day as well as just general Spring-time gatherings and such!  I'm so excited about Spring!!  I don't think I've ever had so many Spring craft ideas!  I hope I can get them all filmed in time.  Wish me luck!

Punch Art Carrots

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

I had so much fun creating Punch Art Carrots!  There are really so many options for "carrot" shapes.  I used a bulb punch, leaf die, raindrop die, and even some pieces from the negative space of a Christmas Bell die.  The leafy tops were created with a branch punch, a leaf punch, and leafy die cut shapes.  And the possibilities don't stop there.  Look through your tools and see what new and creative "carrots" and "leafy tops" you can come up with.

Punch Art Bunnies

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

Bunnies are simple to create using only oval shapes.  You can use paper punches OR die cuts.  Either way you want to do it is fine, but I prefer dies.  With dies you can get entire nesting sets (link below) very inexpensively.  This gives you a wide range of sizes to use in creating your punch art images.  Also, these sizes extend further, offering you larger sizes than you may even be able to find in a punch.  I also like the "stitched" border that many dies have.

For the large bunny head, I just used two sizes of ovals: a large oval for the head and one size smaller to create the ears using a Double Die Cutting technique.  For the brown bunny I used three ovals: two that are a size apart for the head and ears, just like the large bunny head, and then one size larger for the body.  Of course I used smaller ovals for this one.  You can make your bunnies any size you want when using dies, just as long as you use gradating sizes.  I used stickers for the noses and the fluffy bunny tail.

Anniversary Craft Haul

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

I recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary with my husband.  He took me out for what was, in my opinion, the perfect date night: dinner and shopping at the craft stores! 😁  I got some things at Dollar Tree, but the best deals came from JoAnn's!  They were having a huge sale and I had coupons on top of that!  I'm so sad that I wasn't able to get this news to you guys while the sale was happening.  I got some really good deals that I hope to be able to share with you.  I know most of you have a Dollar Tree near you so you should be able to find the Dollar Tree items pretty easily.  I've been searching the internet for deals as good (or nearly) as what I got in-store at JoAnn's so I could give you the links and hopefully YOU can get in on some of it.  With the Ms. Sparkle & Co. products, I think you'd have better luck in-store but I was able to find a few of those online.

Mundane Morning ~ Punch Art

Good Mundane Morning Crafties!  My mood is even brighter now that we’ve sprung forward for Daylight Savings Time. More daylight is always a good mood lifter.  We're having a little bit of a backset in the Spring weather right now.  We have a dusting of snow and gray skies.  But I'm not letting it get me down.  I know warmer weather is just around the corner.  So, let’s take a few minutes to talk about all the Craftie goings on and what you can expect to see coming soon.

I’ve been very busy on the craft front. As you may have seen, I was able to get four, yes FOUR videos up for you guys over the weekend. We made a 3-D Easter Card with more beautiful European Papercrafts products. There were two Easter beading videos: Crystal Bunny Bead Charms and Beaded Carrot Jewelry.  And we dabbled into the world of PUNCH ART with a Punch Art Shamrock Tag! 🤗  In that video, I asked for your feedback on the concept of punch art and whether you would like to see more punch art videos in the future. I got a lot of positive feedback on it and many of you want to see more punch art, so... more punch art you shall have!  I’m really glad that so many of you are interested in it. I’m really having a lot of fun with it and I can’t wait to get started on more punch art videos! Be on the lookout for more of those coming very soon. Maybe even by this weekend. Ive got a couple of Spring themed punch art ideas that I want to try out.

But first, I’ll have a haul video for you.  Remember I told you I scored big on my anniversary shopping trip?  I’ll share that haul with you this weekend. Don’t miss it. I got some really great items and I’ll be trying them out in some upcoming videos as well.

So many crafts to try!!  I wish there were more hours in a day. I need more time to craft! ☺️  Thanks for spending a few minutes with me on this gloriously mundane morning. Check back next week and see what’s new. Until then friends, stay Craftie. 😉

Beaded Carrot Jewelry

*As an Affiliate Partner with Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten, I earn from qualifying purchases.*

I just love this carrot bead charm and the adorable little carrot earrings!  This was a spin-off idea inspired by my Bunny Bead Charm and my Crystal Bunny Bead Charms.  Bunnies have to have carrots.  Right?  Of course they do!  So, the only thing to do was create a carrot bead charm.  And once I'd done that...  well, I just had to create a pair of earrings using the tiny beads.  I think they're so cute, and they're super easy.  All it takes is one orange teardrop bead for the carrot, and there are so many options for the leafy top.  As you see, I used a three petal bell flower bead turned upside-down for the leafy top on the bead charm.  For the earrings, I used a simple bicone in green.  You could also use flower beads, leaf beads, even another, smaller teardrop in green, or even a cone shaped bead cap.  Just get Craftie!  I'm sure you can come up with even more ideas for the leafy tops.

Bunnies! Bunnies! Bunnies!  "Hoppy" Easter everyone! 😉  I hope you guys had to chance to watch my recent video for the Bunny Bead Charm.  I created a little brown bunny using wood beads.  He was a cutie, but I just couldn't resist creating a blingy crystal bunny for Easter too!  I created a large and a small bunny with crystal beads and I think they're gorgeous!  I just love these little guys!  The smaller one could be used for jewelry.  The larger one could be a key chain, purse charm, rear view mirror ornament, or attach it to an Easter gift basket for someone.  You can really use these cute little charms for whatever you want.  I think anyone would love getting one of these.

"Punch Art" is one of my new favorite paper crafting techniques!  I've been playing around some with this technique behind the scenes.  I'm having a lot of fun with it.  All it really is is using basic paper punch shapes (and I also use die cut shapes) together in creative ways to create a whole new shape or image.  If you've been following me for very long then you know why I was drawn to this technique.  This is exactly what I do with beads to create my bead charms!  I just really love to create something new using simple, basic, and easy-to-find shapes.  I'm starting off very simple with a shamrock.  I created it using four simple heart shapes.  I used die cut hearts, but you could also use a heart shaped paper punch.  You can even create these images on cards using stamps.  It's simply a matter of putting shapes together in the right way.  You can do this with whatever medium you choose.  You may have seen my 4-Leaf Clover Bead Charm.  I created it the same way, using four green heart beads.

I'm having a blast with punch art!  Let me know if this is something you would like to see more of.  I have a lot more ideas that I'd love to put into video for you guys.  I'd appreciate your feedback.

Mundane Morning ~ Light, Bright Mood

Good Mundane Morning Crafties!  It's that time again.. Monday morning, when we take a few minutes to settle ourselves and just slow down for a while.  So grab your morning coffee and let the worries of the day wait.  Those will command attention as we progress through the day.  They can't have our coffee time, lol.  I think setting aside a little bit of time to regroup is very important for mental health and stress management.  The stresses of life can really get the best of you if you let them.  Don't let them!  This is our time.

As we get closer to the beginning of Spring, I'm starting to feel my mood improving and I have a little more energy.  I have even found that I'm beginning to prefer light, bright colors in everything from craft projects, to home decor, to the clothes I wear.  I think the "Winter Blues" are starting to lose their grasp, and for me the Winter Blues are very real indeed.  I've always been the kind of person whose mood is determined by their environment and when my environment is cold weather, gray skies, and landscapes of dead and dormant trees, my mood can get a little gloomy.  But sunshine, bright blue skies, blooming flowers, and songbirds make me SO happy!  It's this time of year when my morning coffee time starts to take place on my East-facing front porch while the birds sing to me and the morning sun beams in.  The mornings are a little cold yet, but it's coming!  I can't wait!

Have I gotten off track?  I'm supposed to be talking about Craftie things!  Believe it or not, all this is what sets my creative tone.  When my mood and energy are low, so is my creativity.  The groundhog said there wouldn't be an early Spring but i sure think he was wrong!  And I'm so glad he was.  I have flowers blooming in my yard already and all I can think about are Easter crafts and Mother's Day crafts!  So, we've had a tiny glimpse of Easter crafts so far with my Bunny Bead Charm.  I hope you guys liked it.  I have more Springy crafts coming and I'm so excited about them!  So be on the lookout for projects involving flowers, bunnies, and bright cheery colors.  I've got a couple coming this weekend for you that I think are precious.

If you guys have any Spring requests, I'd love to hear them.  You guys have some of the BEST ideas!  But try to get them to me quickly.  My goal is to get all March and April related videos up by the end of March.  In April I want to start posting Mother's Day and Spring gathering crafts.  I try to get videos up in the month prior to the month of the event or holiday to which they are relevant.  However, it doesn't always work out that way.  If I get a new idea within the month that it applies to, I still try to hurry up and get it out there for you.

Thanks for spending your morning with me.  Be sure to check back for new videos this weekend and I'll meet you back here next Mundane Morning.  Until then friends, stay Craftie.

Bunny Bead Charm

I'm so excited about my Bunny Bead Charm for Easter!  I think he is just the cutest!  And just like all of my bead charms, he was so simple and quick to put together.  Here are the supplies I used:

  • 2 ~ 2" head pins
  • A few #6 seed beads to use as stabilizers.
  • 1 ~ 6mm white cupped flower sequin for his "cotton tail"
  • 1 ~ 12mm round wood bead for his body
  • 1 ~ 10mm round wood bead for his head
  • 2 ~ 6x12mm wood teardrop beads for his ears
I think the wood beads give him the tan color of a real bunny.  I got all these supplies at Walmart except for the teardrop beads.  These are the same ones I used for my Mushroom Bead Charms.  You can get them here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/514783931/wood-teardrop-beads-12x6mm-6-beads?show_sold_out_detail=1
