I NEED SUGGESTIONS!
I NEED SUGGESTIONS!!!
So, August is almost over and I am officially done with Summer crafts for this year.. Whatever I didn't get time for will have to wait until Summer 2018. I'm excited for Fall! I will begin posting Fall/Halloween videos this Friday, September 1st and throughout September. Fall/Thanksgiving videos will be throughout October. I'm gonna try to get all Halloween projects posted in September... My new goal is to get all videos posted in the month prior to the holiday for which it applies, unless a new idea hits me last minute, and then I will try to get it out there at least before the actual holiday happens... EXCEPT CHRISTMAS.. I intend to post Christmas videos throughout both November AND December.
So, the suggestions I need are ideas for Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving. What do you guys want to see? I'll be filming tomorrow and Thursday so let me know ASAP. Also, get Christmas suggestions in early too. You guys always have such great ideas! I can't wait to see some suggestions.
Thanks so much. Until next time friends, stay Craftie! 😉

Craft mini-haul
I got to go out of town again to visit Dollar Tree, JoAnn, and a Walmart Super Center. Not a huge haul, but I really made it count. I got some things that I'm really excited about and that I know I'm going to use. 😄 I have so many things planned right now. I'm just now wrapping up Summer crafts for the year and I'm pre-recording videos for both Halloween and Christmas. I also have some Thanksgiving crafts that I need to get out there. I'm kind of overwhelming myself with it, but I love it. The Fall and Winter seasons are my favorite time of year! I can't decide if it's because of the weather or the Fall and Winter holidays.... Well, it's both! 😁
Check out my YouTube video to see what items I picked up on my mini-haul!

Watermelon Summer Cookout Invitation
A few card making techniques come together to create a delicious watermelon invitation for your Summer cookout. I used the "no-iron" paper napkin technique for the red gingham background. I also used a protractor as a stencil and did some ink dragging to create the watermelon. I used a coffee bean stamp for the watermelon seeds and then I took a "bite" out of it using my 1" scalloped circle punch. I think this is such a cute invitation for your Summer cookouts! 😊

Gumball Machine Bead Charm
After several viewers commented on my Disco Ball Bead Charm that they first thought it was a gumball machine, I couldn't get that idea out of my head, so I decided to create it for you all. I used a 12mm Christmas bell for the base, a 12mm white/multi rhinestone shamballa bead for the gumballs, and an 8mm metal bead cap, that I painted red, for the machine topper. I hope you guys like it. 😊

Mundane Morning ~ 3 Videos per Week
Good Mundane Morning Crafties! I'm so sorry that I didn't have a Mundane Morning post for you last week. But today I'm here, with my giant cup of coffee, ready to connect and share what's going on in my Craftie world.
I've been very busy trying to meet what has inadvertently become my new average lately: 3 videos per week. I hadn't really planned on posting 3 videos every week, but I find myself needing to do that many in order to try to get all my ideas onto video for you guys. Well, I've been posting 3 per week and still find myself pushing ideas ahead onto next year's list because I simply can't fit them all in. Also, in the midst of all those videos, I've been trying to make time to record a few Christmas craft videos ahead of time. I've only got 4 of those recorded so far, but at least I'm a little bit ahead of the game. Right? Some I have yet to order supplies for; some I am still trying to perfect the details of; and some I just haven't gotten around to yet. I am so so anxious for some of these Christmas crafts, yet I have so many ideas that I need to do first for Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Ahhh, if only I had endless resources and time. 😞
Meanwhile, I haven't made any time to work on the craft room itself. I've kinda reached a standstill on that. I really only have a couple more things to get done, but that still seems so far out of reach at the moment. Perhaps when Fall finally kicks in full-swing, yard work and such will come to an end and I'll have more time to work INside. ....We shall see.
So, which crafts can you expect to see when??? Well, here's the goal:
*Wrap up all Summery crafts by the end of August.
*Post all of my Halloween crafts in the month of September.
*Post all of my Thanksgiving crafts in the month of October.
(General Fall crafts may show up in September and/or October.)
*Post Christmas crafts throughout November AND December.
Whether or not I can meet that goal is yet to be seen. Keep checking in with me here on the blog every Mundane Morning to see how the progress is going. Until next time friends, stay Craftie! 😉

Bee Hive Pendant
This bee hive pendant is beautiful for Summer and so unique. When I saw this wood bee hive bead online, I couldn't resist. I had to order it and come up with a way to use it in a pendant. Happybird's fabric ribbon pendant was the inspiration for the configuration.
For my pendant I used:
*1 19x21mm Wood Bee Hive Bead
*2 10mm flat Bead Caps (antique bronze)
*2 5mm Jump Rings (antique bronze)
*1 7mm Jump Ring (antique bronze)
*1 3" Eye Pin (antique bronze) (2" would probably work)
*3 2" Head Pins (bright silver) (1" would probably work)
*5 4mm Clear Round Beads (inside the bee hive bead to snug it up) (any color will do)
*2 6x8mm Faceted Teardrop Beads (honey color)
*2 3x5mm Faceted Teardrop Beads (honey color)
*1 Lobster Clasp (antique bronze)
*1 Pre-made Honeybee Bead Charm (find link below for that video)

Glittered Die Cuts
These glittered die cuts make beautiful embellishments for all types of crafts. I love the translucent look they have. It reminds me of real butterfly wings. But don't let that restrict you to only doing this with butterfly shapes. This technique can be used with any die cuts. Be sure that you use extra fine, or at least fine glitter and the stickiest clear shipping tape you can find. I happen to love these this way but you can take it even further if you want to and coat over the fronts of these thinly with Mod Podge. Use these to embellish cards, scrapbooks, gift tags, gift packages, and so much more!

Coloring Page Card
Adult coloring books are so popular these days and I'm so glad. I love coloring! I've loved coloring since I was a little girl and I don't plan on outgrowing it any time soon.😉 This card would be great for someone who also loves coloring. Of course, you can change the sentiments to fit any occasion.

Vintage Rose Bracelet
More vintage roses and pearls! ..this time as a bracelet. I'm really loving the vintage theme and I especially love this soft yellow color. This bracelet turned out to be about 7 1/4" in size. You can adjust this to fit any size by using more links, less links, larger or smaller pearls, etc.

Vintage Pearl Earrings
Just another idea for using the tiny vintage cameo settings. This time I used flat back pearls instead of roses. Equally vintage and equally gorgeous. I love these! These purple flat back pearls have an AB finish that doesn't seem to show up too well on camera. But, believe me, it is gorgeous!
