These teddy bear folded towels are a cute way to give towels in a gift basket for bridal, household, or baby showers. They're also a great display in your guest bathroom, while still being usable by guests. I think this would also be a cute way to give baby blankets. It takes practically no time, yet really makes for a special presentation. Your guests/gift recipients will appreciate that you took the time to add a special touch. They will LOVE them!

Watch my YouTube tutorial to see just how quick and simple they really are:

........................................................................................ I linked within the video as many as I could find of the products I used. For those I couldn't find the exact match, I linked a closely similar version. Actually, you could do the whole thing very inexpensively from the dollar store. I actually find that the thinner towels from the dollar store create a better fold and also have more of a "fuzzy" teddy bear look (like the brown one in my first example). You may want to give thicker, higher quality towels in a gift basket, but I definitely recommend the thinner ones for your guest bathroom. Just use what ribbons you have on hand, or that matches your intended theme or color scheme, and have fun! ........................................................................................ *May contain affiliate links. Christmas Wreath Party Plates

Need a last minute idea for your Christmas party decor?? I got you! These are so festive and adorable but super quick and easy to put together, so you can spend your time visiting with your guests instead of stressing over an elaborate table setting. Do you remember my green striped plates from my Watermelon Party Plates back in the Summer? I still had some left... In the Summer, my brain automatically saw a watermelon rind when I spotted them in the store. Now, in a Christmas mindset, my brain sees a Christmas wreath. So that's what I'm making! Don't be afraid to pull from your stash. Maybe you don't need to run out to the store for new "Christmas plates". I love to reuse and reimagine the things that I already have on hand. I think they make adorable Christmas Wreath Party Plates. You can probably find some other plates with a green design around the border that can also become a wreath or use the solid color option which I also show you in this video.

Standing Easel Pumpkin ~ Place Card or Tiered Tray Decor

This standing easel pumpkin is like a 3-D version of punch art, created using simple oval shapes.  I began my "Punch Art" journey because I love the simplicity of creating new and interesting images using only basic shapes.  Here, I've ventured beyond paper punches by creating with wood cutouts.  In the future, I plan to use an even wider variety of crafting media to create punch art.... or... at this point I guess I should be calling it "Shape Art".🤷

I love this pumpkin for tiered tray decor or as place cards (with the addition of names).  And, just like with punch art, you can create sooo many different decor items beyond the pumpkin.  The coolest part is the "kickstand":  made from something you all probably have on hand in great numbers!  Hit PLAY to see how I made it.:

Stay tuned for future "Shape Art" projects.

Watermelon Party Plates

Last minute 4th of July party decor idea.  Red, White, and Blue decor sold out??  No problem!  You can create these watermelon party plates with stripey plates like I found at my local Big Lots or just plain green and red that you can find anywhere at any time of year.  Sprinkle a few raisins for the "watermelon seeds" look and that's all there is too it.  Too easy!!

This is, as I said, a great last minute idea for your 4th of July cookout but will also work for any and all Summer cookouts, picnics, and gatherings.  Check out my quick YouTube tutorial here:

Enjoy! and have a wonderful, fun, and safe 4th of July!

Cow Party Plate ~ Barnyard Critter Plates ~ Party Decor

My Farm Animal/Barnyard Critter Plate series would not be complete without a cow!  I love his cow bell as a party favor.  You could do just these cow settings or combine them with other barnyard animals from my series like the Piggy or the Duckie Party Plate so each child gets a different critter.  I'm having a lot of fun with these barnyard critter party plates.  There are more to come, including some buggy critters as well.  Stay tuned!

Duckie Party Plate ~ Barnyard Critter Plates ~ Party Decor

This duckie party plate couldn't be simpler.  He's the next in my line of Critter Plates, Barnyard Edition.  Much like punch art, these critter plates are just a matter of arranging shapes and colors to create fun animals for your child's birthday party, a baby shower, or other event.  So simple and so much fun!  Wouldn't it be fun to create an identical punch art image for your party invitations? Let me know if you'd like to see a video for matching punch art.

Piggy Place Setting ~ Barnyard Critter Plates ~ Party Decor

This pink piggy was my first idea for cute critter party plates which sparked many more ideas.  My imagination ran wild with this one and I have so many ideas from farm animals to buggy critters and more.  Look for them all in my upcoming series of videos for more critter plates.  My place settings use elements you would already be purchasing for party decor such as plates, napkins, utensils, cups, straws, party favors, and sweet treats.  I just arrange them in a way that helps create your fun theme.  I love to create fun and whimsical party decor using inexpensive disposables to make clean up quick and easy for busy moms.  No need to commit to washing dishes all night after the event; Spend more time enjoying the occasion and your guests.

Cactus Napkin Folding

This fun cactus napkin fold will be great for your Summer themed gatherings and cookouts or even a desert or Southwest themed children's party.  This one is so fun because it doesn't have to be precise.  I took a lot of liberties to just freeform shape it without having to adhere to exact folds and points.  With this technique each one may come out a little bit different and I think that's all the better to represent a natural element like a cactus.  It's so simple.  Let me show you how I did it.
